Liverpool want an extra £10million for Mamadou Sakho as a result of his seven matches starring on loan for Crystal Palace, according to a reliable journalist.

Sky Sports correspondent Kaveh Solkehol claims the Merseysiders are ready to offload the France defender in the summer irrespective of his fine performances for his temporary employers.

Solkehol claimed on his personal Twitter account that Liverpool have slapped a £30million price tag on Sakho, 27.

This is £10million more than they would have accepted for the centre-back in the January transfer window when he was frozen out by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Remarkably, the new Liverpool valuation comes after just seven appearances from Sakho for Sam Allardyce's Palace.

The defender has revitalised his career at the south coast club and played an integral role in their Premier League survival bid that now looks like being successful.

Palace have won five and drawn one of the seven matches in which Sakho has played, although he was ineligible for their 2-1 win against Liverpool on Sunday.

But it appears there is no way back at Anfield for Sakho after disciplinary issues led to him being ostracised by Klopp.
