Newcastle United have been installed as clear favourites to sign Everton centre-forward Sandro Ramirez before the end of the January transfer window, according to the latest bookmakers' odds.
BetVictor have priced the Magpies at 2/1 to snap up Sandro, 22, by next Wednesday after the Daily Mail reported in their live transfer blog last Saturday [02:05pm] that Rafa Benitez is willing to sanction a loan move for the Spaniard.
It was understood that Newcastle would be willing to pay £2million for a loan fee and all of his £100,000-a-week wages in full.

Brighton, Swansea and West Brom (all 8/1) are joint-second favourites to sign Sandro, who has been a huge flop since he was signed by Everton in the summer for £5.2million from Malaga.
The former Barcelona striker has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, but has scored just one goal, which came in the 5-1 Europa League defeat to Atalanta in November.
He is yet to find the net in the Premier League but Newcastle's desperation for a new striker means that they may have to settle for a big-money loan signing who is still yet to prove himself.
Sandro has not made the matchday squad for Sam Allardyce since the 0-0 draw with Chelsea before Christmas.
In other Newcastle United news, Ashley has sanctioned the Magpies to swoop for this £7million left-back from a top six club.
