Newcastle United will need to pay at least £100million if they want to land Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the upcoming window.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton said Osimhen would be a great fit at St James' Park but isn't sure the Magpies would be willing to pay up for the striker.

The 24-year-old has just under two years left on his contract at Napoli but is believed to be increasingly keen on an exit after the club mocked their star man on social media.

The likelihood of Osimhen's exit has increased recently following the tension between him and the club with the player's agent even publicly threatening legal action against the club.

The forward is a long term target for the Blues who were interested in signing him in the most recent window but a deal could prove difficult given Financial Fair Play regulations.

Hutton insisted any interested team will have to pay up for the Nigerian.

"We are talking over £100m here for a single player," he told Football Insider.

"I have seen what has gone on with him and the club at the moment so it is obviously a difficult time for him. Maybe he is looking for a change.

"I think Newcastle would be a good fit, they would play to his strengths but it all comes down to the fee that they want."
