Rangers' brilliant European performances this season are clearing the path to a potential £30million-plus Champions League windfall regardless of them winning the SPL.
The Glasgow giants secured another massive financial shot in the arm from their European exploits this season by beating Sporting Braga last week to secure a last-16 Europa League tie against Bayer Leverkusen.
Rangers' European excellence has helped Scotland climb to 14th in the Uefa coefficient rankings despite Celtic losing to Copenhagen last week.
This means the long-embattled football nation are close to securing an end-of-season place in the top 15, which would earn Scotland a second Champions League qualifying spot from 2021-22.
Even if Rangers did not stop Celtic marching to a tenth consecutive title next season, they would enter Europe's most lucrative club competition at the second round if they finish runners-up.
Entry into the Champions League is a huge moneyspinner for all clubs.
Celtic £32.5million from Uefa alone, and not including gate receipts, the last time they reached the group stage in 2017-2018, when Brendan Rodgers was manager.
Figures collated by Football Insider show Rangers are well on course to secure £20m from Europe this season from prize money and matchday income as well as commercial spin-offs.
Rangers have already earned a guaranteed £7m from Uefa's distribution programme this term.
In addition, Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that Scotland's second-richest club expect to pocket a further £12m.
In December, Rangers posted their most recent set of financial results, which revealed a turnover of £53.2m for 2018-19.
European football provided more than a quarter of the turnover, and this season's numbers are set to be even more healthy.
