Pellegrini decision should be a no-brainer amid reported interest in West Ham £15m-rated ace

West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang is reportedly being hunted by three clubs, but manager Manuel Pellegrini should block any potential exit.

The Sun claims that Fiorentina have launched a bid to sign the 26-year-old, while Besiktas and Villarreal are also interested in his signature.

It is understood that new boss Pellegrini is weighing up whether the club should cash in on the £15million-rated Spaniard, but his conclusion should be a firm no.

Obiang may have just endured a frustrating campaign recently ruined somewhat by injuries, but when he features the Hammers look a better side.

He is a dynamic midfielder enforcer that can do the dirty defence side of the game, while he can also offer a better attacking threat than Mark Noble or Cheikhou Kouyate.

Obiang is an ever-present in the starting XI at the London Stadium when he is available and in today’s market offloading him for £15million would be a strange move.

He is still under contract until 2022 and there is no reason why he can’t play in the anchor role and be a pivotal component for a new-look Pellegrini XI.

West Ham’s latest manager is obviously assessing what he wants his squad to look like next year and most supporters would agree that Obiang is a reliable figure that should not be shown the exit doors.
