Alan Hutton has claimed it would be "unbelievable" if Liverpool pull off the signing of Youri Tielemans.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and West Ham right-back said he doesn't see the 25-year-old being part of the Reds' future.

On Wednesday (31 August), a source told this site that Leicester had received a £19million bid for the midfielder.

CBS’ Ben Jacobs reported last week (27 August) that Liverpool are one of the sides interested in Tielemans, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

As quoted by The Daily Mail (26 August) Klopp replied with “we are looking for it”, when asked if Liverpool were going to be active in the final days of the window.

When asked if Anfield is a likely destination for Tielemans so late in the window, Hutton told Football Insider: "Trying to get a deal over the line, with add ons and agents fees, so close to the deadline, I think would be unbelievable to get that finalised.

"There’s no doubt he’s a good player. There’s been interest from the likes of Arsenal, I think where Leicester are sitting at this moment in time, they’re not doing great. They just seem to be stuck mid-table, they’re not really going anywhere. I think for Tielemans it would be a great move.

"Do I see him being the future there? I’m not sure. He has got the ability but for Liverpool to spend a large amount of money on the last day I’d be very shocked."
