Rangers are set to entertain offers for Connor Goldson this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Scotland full-back Alan Hutton insisted Rangers will listen to "decent" offers for the 29-year-old as "money talks" despite his quality.

Goldson joined Rangers in 2018 before making 309 appearances for the club and lifting the league title, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.

A move to Al-Ettifaq would see Goldson link up with former Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard, under whom the defender lifted the Scottish Premiership in 2021.

Rangers to consider offers for Connor Goldson

Hutton has now labelled the deal as an "interesting" one to watch, with the defender's age playing a part in Rangers' consideration over his future.

"If a decent offer comes in, Rangers are going to listen to it," he told Football Insider.

"Tavernier and Conor Goldson have been incredible for the club with the stats Tavernier has put on the board and Goldson's impressive displays.

"Money talks. If a decent bid for the two of them comes in then they'll look at it.

"It's a hard one to put a figure on.

"It could be close to £10million for both, maybe it's under that and it's going to be £8million.

"I don't really know how they're going to figure that out with their ages and different things, but the quality is definitely there.

"It's going to be an interesting one."
