Rangers are eyeing another blockbuster Europa League windfall as they look to add to their £18million bounty from the competition this season, Football Insider can reveal.

The Scottish big hitters can secure another massive financial shot in the arm if they win their round-of-32 tie against Sporting Braga this month.

Uefa's Europa League distribution data shows that Rangers can earn another £930,000 if they overcome the Portugese side in the two-legged clash on Thursday of next week and the following Wednesday.

That would be topped up by gate receipts as well as commercial and branding spin-offs for the reignited giant.

Rangers have already earned a guaranteed £6m from Uefa's distribution programme in the pre-Christmas European fixture.

This was made up of £2.6m from their group stage allocation, £1.4m from performances across six group fixtures as well as £700,000 for progressing through the qualification rounds over the summer.

By qualifying for the knockout stages, Rangers landed a £900,000 bonus as well as a further bonus of £420,000 for finishing second in a group that included Porto, Feyenoord and Young Boys.

In addition, Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that Scotland's second-richest club expect to pocket a further £12m.

This would come from the Scottish clubs' share of the TV pool, their increased Uefa co-efficient ranking as well as matchday, commercial and merchandise income.

There have been bumper attendance at 50,000-capacity Ibrox for all the club's European fixtures this season and that will be the case once again for the home clash against Sporting Braga next week.

In December, Rangers posted their most recent set of financial results, which revealed a turnover of £53.2m for 2018-19.

The club announced that £14m of revenue came from their 2018-19 European campaign, which ended at the group stage.
