West Ham United are preparing a £10million bid for Croatian playmaker Ante Coric, according to a report.

The Evening Standard claim the Hammers will submit the offer in the next fortnight to beat rival Premier League clubs to the 19-year-old attacking midfielder.

Tottenham have been linked to the teenager, while the Standard claim Liverpool and Manchester City are also in hot pursuit.

The attacking midfielder from Dinamo Zagreb is highly rated in Croatia and has been likened in his homeland to City playmaker David Silva.

Coric has also been named as the only teenager in Croatia's Euro 2016 squad.

The youngster attracted scouts from several European teams in 2015-16, as he scored five goals and supplied six assists during Dinamo Zagreb's title winning season.

West Ham have a history of giving opportunities to youngsters and the team's faith in youth could attract the young Croatian to the Hammers, as well as having fellow countryman, Slaven Bilic in charge of the side.

Meanwhile, Croatian newspaper Sportske Novoski reported last week that Jurgen Klopp had personally called Coric to try and convince him to move to Anfield.
