A fee of £40-50million is likely to land Barcelona star Raphinha next summer - two years after his exit from Leeds United, sources have told Football Insider.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, Newcastle and Liverpool, could swoop for the 26-year-old next summer.

Barcelona's finances remain far from secure and they could accept a cut-price fee for Raphinha in the summer window next year after making him available for sale.

Man City

The Catalan giants will need to raise funds to sign loan stars Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo permanently.

Raphinha, who has fallen out of favour somewhat with manager Xavi, left Leeds United for Barcelona in a reported £55million deal last summer (2022).

A fee of £40million could be enough for a Premier League side to prise him away from the club at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Gavi's recent anterior cruciate ligament injury means the La Liga champions are unlikely to be willing to part with him in January.

The ex-Leeds star, who is the record sale at Elland Road, has notched two goals and three assists in 11 appearances across all competitions this term.

Raphinha is under contract in Catalonia until June 2027 and earns a reported wage of around £210,000-a-week.

Leeds

He managed 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 total games for Leeds during two seasons in the Premier League.

The Brazil international became a firm fan favourite at Elland Road and played a key part as the Whites stayed in the top flight in the 2021-22 campaign.
