Revealed: Wolves in hunt to sign Liverpool player for £4m fee
Liverpool are set to quote a £4million loan fee to Wolves and other Harry Wilson suitors if Jurgen Klopp decides to put the block on selling him this summer, Football Insider understands.
Football Insider revealed this week that the attacker, 22, is set to hold crunch talks with Klopp about his future following his starring role at Derby County this season.
But Klopp could decide to block a permanent exit for the left-footed forward and instead insist he goes out on loan next season if he does not regard him as ready to make the Liverpool first team.
A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the club will demand a multi-million pound loan fee that exceeds the cost of around £3million paid by Derby County this season.
It proved value for money for Frank Lampard's side as Wilson played an instrumental role in them reaching the play-off final only for them to narrowly be defeated by Aston Villa on Monday.
The Wales international had a direct hand in 24 goals, 18 goals of which he scored himself, from 49 appearances.
He has a Liverpool contract that runs until 2023 but has made only a single senior appearance for his parent club, which came in a cup tie two-and-a-half years ago.
