Diafra Sakho is close to completing an £8million move to Rennes, according to a report.
Sky Sports have reported in their transfer centre blog (17.33), that the deal is on the verge of going through, with West Ham getting £4.5million up front with another £3.5million in add-ons.
If the deal finally goes through it will bring to an end a long-running saga after a deal for the player between the two clubs collapsed on deadline day in the summer.
Sakho joined from Metz for £3.5million so the club are set to make a profit for the player who has scored 24 goals in 71 games for the London club.
Football Insider verdict:
This is a deal that's been a long time in coming but it's good for both parties to finally get it done. West Ham might sorely need attacking talent but their relationship with Sakho broke down a long time ago and he was never going to be the person who was going to fire them to Premier League safety. The money Moyes gets can hopefully now be deployed else where before the January deadline slams shut.
