Arsenal have registered their interest in signing Man United sensation Marcus Rashford, Football Insider understands.

The future of the 24-year-old fans favourite is up in the air following a wretched campaign in which he has slipped to the fringes.

An Arsenal source has told Football Insider that Rashford is a leading target as they look to recruit at least one frontline forward this summer.

Man United

The Gunners are setting aside more than £45million to spend on a frontman capable of slotting straight into Mikel Arteta’s team.

A move to Arsenal could appeal for the blisteringly quick England star and provide the challenge needed to reignite his career.

The Gunners lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January.

Attacking duo Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are also out of contract this summer, highlighting the need for a new striker at the Emirates.

Rashford has only started 12 Premier League games so far this season, scoring just four goals in the competition.

He started the season injured after having shoulder surgery but has failed to regain a starting place in the side.

The England attacker has also only completed 90 minutes on three occasions from a possible 31 this season.

Man United

Rashford has a contract that runs until the summer of 2023 and includes the option of a further 12 months.

He has made 302 total appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 93 goals.
