Sources: Liverpool in advanced talks to sell regular scorer after £12m formal bid
Burnley have submitted a £12million bid for Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson as talks advance on a deal, Football Insider understands.
Jurgen Klopp has given the green light for the winger, 23, to leave on a permanent deal after three impressive spells out on loan.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Burnley are closing in on Wilson after tabling a formal bid.
It is said Liverpool want up to £15m including add-ons for their academy product.
But negotiations are intensifying and a deal could now be in place by the end of the week.
Wilson is keen to secure a move to another Premier League club and wants to join a side where he would be a regular starter.
Burnley have stolen a march on multiple other interested clubs, including Leeds United, Southampton and Newcastle United.
Sean Dyche is a big admirer of Wilson, who he regards as a matchwinner and with the potential to develop into a real star.
At Liverpool, his path to the Liverpool first team is blocked by a galaxy of stars and he has failed to make the matchday squad for the opening two Premier League matches of the season.
Wilson scored seven goals in 35 matches for Bournemouth last season as they were relegated after previous free-scoring spells at Derby and Hull City.
He is contracted to Liverpool until 2023 after signing a five-year deal in the summer of 2018.
