Man City have a strong interest in bringing Tottenham ace Pedro Porro back to the club ahead of the summer, sources have told Football Insider.

It is also believed that they are keeping close tabs on another of their former players, the Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.

Porro and Luiz were sold by the Citizens in 2022 and 2019 respectively but are now on the radar for what would be astonishing and huge-priced returns to the Etihad.

Porro remained in the City Group family when he moved from Girona to Pep Guardiola's side for a reported £11million in the summer of 2019 but made no competitive appearances.

The right-back has thrived at Tottenham since making his initial January 2023 loan move from Sporting Lisbon permanent last summer, scoring once and providing 8 assists from 21 appearances in all competitions this season.

Luiz similarly made no appearances in Manchester but was loaned from City to Girona for two seasons before making a permanent move to Aston Villa for a reported £15million in 2019.

The Brazilian has emerged as one of the league's best midfielders since the arrival of Unai Emery and is expected to fetch a huge fee if the Villans sell.

Both Porro and Luiz are valued at around the £100m mark by their respective clubs.
