Man United are still considering a move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani if a deal cannot be struck for Rasmus Hojlund, sources have told Football Insider.

The Denmark international is believed to have agreed personal terms - but the final hurdle to a deal is negotiating a financial package with Atalanta.

But United are remaining open to potential alternatives as they are wary of a potential collapse in negotiations.

The Red Devils have already held talks with Kolo Muani's representatives and Eintracht Frankfurt in a bid to sound out a potential move for the France international.

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that the German outfit are holding out for a fee of £80million after his stellar 2022-23 campaign in the Bundesliga.

It is believed Man United view that valuation as excessive, and are continuing to press ahead with negotiations for Hojlund.

Competition from European giants is also likely, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also monitoring Kolo Muani's situation.

Kolo Muani, 24, is considered one of the most exciting young strikers in world football after his brilliant first season with Frankfurt.

He notched 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for the German outfit and was named Player of the Season by his counterparts.

The hitman, who featured for France at the World Cup in Qatar, signed a five-year contract running until June 2027 when he joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Nantes last summer (2022).
