Clinton N'Jie will travel to Marseille in midweek to join the club on loan from Tottenham, according to a report.

French radio station RMC Sport claim Spurs have signed the documents for N'Jie to join the Ligue 1 outfit and all that is left is for the winger to finalise the administrative details.

The transfer is initially a loan, but the report details that there is a £6million option to make the deal permanent next summer.

N'Jie, 23, moved to Spurs from Lyon last summer, but he struggled in his debut season in England and made just 15 appearances, predominantly as a substitute, without scoring a single goal.

The N'Jie deal is part of a on-going saga between Spurs and Marseille that also involves Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.

That deal appears to also be nearing completion, with RMC reporting that the striker will be joining Spurs for £9.5million.

French publication L'Equipe claimed that Spurs and Marseille came to an agreement last Friday to finally end the month-long N'Koudou transfer saga.

N'Koudou, 21, joined Marseille from Nantes during last summer and the winger proved to be one of the signings of the Ligue 1 campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists in 41 matches in all competitions.
