Aston Villa £60,000-a-week reject in line for immediate Premier League return - report

Former Aston Villa player Charles N’Zogbia is looking to earn a contract with Premier League club Sunderland, according to a report.
The Birmingham Mail claim that the winger is currently training with the Black Cats after he was released by Villa on 1 July when his contract expired.
The 30-year-old was signed by the Midlands club in the summer of 2011 by then-manager Alex McLeish but left on bad terms after barely featuring for the club during the final two years of his £60,000-a-week deal.
It is said the former Newcastle player is merely training with the club in order to build his fitness but he could earn a contract with the Premier League side if he impresses boss Sam Allardyce.
A tweet sent to former Villa player Stan Collymore by a Sunderland supporter appears to show N’Zogbia looking on during what appears to be like a fitness session.

In other Aston Villa news, this Villa duo are joined by a returning hero as the club begin training at Bodymoor Heath ahead of the new Championship campaign.
