Four new signings could rocket Leeds to Europe after Bielsa reveal - pundit
Leeds United are four signings away from challenging for the European places, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa and England striker insisted Marcelo Bielsa will remain at Elland Road next season to prove they have not just been “lucky” this term.
The Sunday Sun (2nd May, page 63) report the Argentine is close to agreeing a rolling 12-month contract with his annual salary set to be increased from £6million to £7million.
The 65-year-old notoriously only signs one-year deals and he could be set to lead Leeds for a fourth campaign – his longest spell in charge of any club.
“I think he’ll want to stay,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“He won’t want people to think ‘It’s just a lucky season.’ He’ll want to show people that this is a great season for Leeds and next season he’ll want to get better.

“I’m sure he’ll be definitely signing a new contract and he’ll want to take this Leeds side to the next level.
“He’ll want to get them into Europe and he’ll want some investment to make Leeds stronger.
“If Leeds had a proper left-back, if Leeds had a back up striker, another back up winger to Raphinha and [Jack] Harrison who’s a bit better than [Helder] Costa and a number 10 who can turn on the ball and make things happen the Leeds could definitely get into Europe next season.”
The Yorkshire giants could finish in the top half of the Premier League in their first campaign back in the top-flight for over 15 years.
They are currently 11th in the table, nine points off Tottenham in sixth position.
