Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa

Fulham are in the hunt to sign Jack Clarke from Leeds United in the January window, Football Insider has learned.

The London club are ready to try and take advantage of the 19-year-old winger’s fringe status at Elland Road.

A Fulham source has told Football Insider the club have set their sights on a January move for Clarke in what would be his second loan of a stalled campaign.

This comes after Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Tottenham are expected to activate the mid-season recall clause in Clarke’s loan deal.

The teenager, signed for £9.5million rising to a potential £13million in the summer, is in line to head to Spurs before being loaned to a new club for the second half of the campaign.

Fulham are likely to face widespread competition for the services of Clarke after the huge impression he made when breaking into the first team last season.

It has been a different story for him in this campaign as Marcelo Bielsa has barely used him, with Leeds top of the Championship and well placed to secure automatic promotion on the back of seven consecutive wins.

Clarke has had to make do with just three Leeds appearances this season, two of which have come in the League Cup.

He has been an unused sub for 14 of the 21 Championship matches and did not even make the matchday squad for six of them.

In the latest Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that a north-west club have opened talks to sign a Whites senior ace who’s registered four assists among 17 league starts this season.
