Fulham next manager: Kieran McKenna odds-on favourite for summer appointment
The Cottagers are after a new manager, with Marco Silva set to leave the club once his contract expires this month.
McKenna has emerged as an early frontrunner after guiding the Tractor Boys to three promotions in four seasons, with the club set to return to the Premier League again next campaign.
Now, one UK bookmaker has placed McKenna as the odds-on favourite to take over at Fulham this summer at 1/2 after his odds tumbled.
McKenna has been manager of Ipswich for five years and has achieved a real golden era at the club.
Therefore, this would be an ambitious move by the Cottagers as they look for a new coach to take them to the next level.
Can Kieran McKenna impress in the Premier League?
Despite his successes in the EFL, McKenna has struggled in the Premier League.
In the 2024-25 campaign, Ipswich were relegated without a fight, winning just four games and amassing 22 points.
Such a record would need to be heavily improved upon if McKenna were to land the role at Fulham.
Silva has transformed the club into a solid mid-table outfit, who have been on the verge of European football multiple times in recent seasons.
Fulham will be looking for a coach to achieve this dream. However, it remains to be seen if McKenna can finally overcome his poor record in the English top-flight.
Who else is linked to the Fulham job?
The current second-favourite for the role is Frank Lampard. The Coventry City manager is 9/2 to take over in what could be another shock swoop for a newly promoted manager.
Ruben Amorim is also in the mix at 5/1 after he was sacked as Manchester United manager in early 2026.
Potential outsiders include Arne Slot at 11/1 and Pierre Sage at 12/1. The former was only booted out of Liverpool just over a week ago, and could now be set for a quick return to a Premier League dugout.
In comparison, Sage is the current Lens manager and just missed out on the Ligue 1 title this campaign to PSG.
However, it remains to be seen who Fulham opt to appoint this summer as they face a tough task trying to find Silva’s successor.
