Garry Monk has revealed that he would like to re-sign Kyle Bartley in the summer if he remains on as head coach.
Centre-back Bartley has been on a season-long loan from Premier League side Swansea and has impressed supporters with his performances.
He has partnered Pontus Jansson at the heart of the club’s defence, with the duo impressing with their displays.
As a result, Monk explained why he wants to keep hold of Bartley, who has had an impressive campaign in the Championship.

Bartley could have effectively played his last game for Leeds when they recorded a 1-1 draw away at Wigan on the final Championship day of the season.
Over the course of the campaign, Bartley has played 45 matches for the club, scoring an impressive six goals from defence.
Bartley’s future at Elland Road could depend on what division his parent club, Swansea are playing in next season.
They are currently managed by Paul Clement after going through a total of three managers during their Premier League campaign.
The Welsh club recorded a 1-0 win against Everton on Saturday, which saw them move out of the relegation zone.
Their safety is set to go to the wire, while Monk’s future could also play a part in Bartley’s future.
Monk’s contract is set to expire in the summer but he is yet to sign a new deal with talks set to take place.
