Gazza hits out at Steve Bruce after bold claim, piles pressure on Aston Villa first teamer

English football legend Paul Gascoigne has hit out at Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce for his bold claim that Jack Grealish is comparable to the former Tottenham and Newcastle star.
Bruce was quoted by the Birmingham Mail as saying that Grealish “has a bit of a Gazza about him”, however the Villa boss managed to annoy Gascoigne by seemingly having a little dig about his off-field antics.
‘Gazza’ took to his personal Twitter account on Saturday to respond to Bruce’s claims while also taking the time to pile the pressure on Grealish to meet his manager’s description of him.
“Steve, my friend, just read your bit in the paper saying Grealish plays a bit like me on the pitch, but not off the pitch. Why say that? Maybe he looked like me on the pitch, and not you off the pitch. Soz mate just had to do it, we can both have a laugh,” said Gascoinge, adding a picture of a battered and bruised Bruce.
“Now Grealish is under pressure.”

It may have slipped Bruce’s mind but Grealish has also been in trouble for his off-field antics in 2015 when he was pictured allegedly inhaling ‘hippy crack’.
The attacker has spent a lot of this season recuperating from a kidney injury and has not been in the matchday squad for the last three Championship fixtures.
The Villa first teamer has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the West Midlands club this season, scoring one goal and supplying four assists.
The 22-year-old was in great form before his latest setback, playing a starring role in the Second City derby win against Birmingham earlier this month.
