Graham Roberts slams Sky pundit after sensational World Cup claim about Tottenham ace
Graham Roberts has slammed Sky Sports pundit Jim White for constantly “digging out” Dele Alli, after he questioned whether the Tottenham attacker had dived to win the penalty against Rochdale.
White questioned Alli and then asked how fans would feel if he did the same in the World Cup final in the summer.
Tottenham ended up drawing the FA fifth round match 2-2 after late drama saw Alli win a penalty for Spurs in the dying minutes.
That was dispatched by Harry Kane and it seemingly had Tottenham booked into a quarter final against either Swansea or Sheffield Wednesday.
However, Steve Davies popped up with an incredible last second equaliser to take the tie to an unwanted – for Tottenham at least – replay.
On Monday morning, the Sky Sports pundit put out a tweet for his talkSPORT show and asked whether Allie had dived.
He then went further and asked his viewers if they would be bothered if Alli did the same in the World Cup final.
That sensationalism was enough for Roberts who responded directly, saying, “Come on @JomWhite that was a stone wall penalty
“Stop digging @dele_official out all you pundits want to do is have a go. Get off his back and let him play.”

Alli has been the centre of a number of controversial decisions recently, and has been booked for simulation a number of times.
Tottenham will now face Rochdale again in a fifth-round replay on Wednesday February 28.
