Gus Poyet is predicting that Tottenham v Arsenal will end in a draw on Saturday, but believes Spurs “will finish higher” in the league as they’re the “better team.”
The former Spurs player shared his predictions for the north London derby, which takes place at the Emirates, with BetStars.
When asked who would score first, Poyet said, “Very simple, Harry Kane because he’s on fire.”
Poyet was confident who would have the last laugh at the end of the season when asked who would finish higher in the league.
“I’m convinced that Tottenham will finish higher,” the 50-year-old revealed, “they are more consistent and right now a better team.”
Spurs are currently three places higher than Arsenal in the league, in third after 11 games played.
If Tottenham win at the Emirates they will go seven points clear of the Gunners in this early stage of the season.
Last season was the first time Spurs had finished ahead of Arsenal during Arsene Wenger’s time as manager, with Tottenham finishing runners-up to Chelsea.
The Gunners could only reach fifth in the league that season, which was their lowest league finish since the 1995/96 season.
The fifth placed finish also saw them miss out on qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in 21 years.
