Harry Kane delivers verdict ahead of Tottenham v Crystal Palace
By Dominic Toner
Tottenham forward Harry Kane is expecting a tough match against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, but insists their recent defeat to Chelsea was just a blip.
Spurs suffered a 4-2 loss on Saturday in the FA Cup semi-finals as Chelsea set-up a final against Arsenal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had won their previous eight games across all competitions before the Chelsea defeat, but were unstuck against a clinical attack.
The north London club have still won their previous seven league matches and will hope to stretch that record against Palace in mid-week.
Kane has admitted his side are wary of Palace’s attacking attributes, but insists they will continue to fight for the Premier League title.

“I think we have learned from last year,” Kane said, as quoted by the Evening Standard. “Hopefully, the semi-final was just a blip in what has been a great season so far.
“Palace is a tough game, they have been in great form recently and it won’t be easy, but we will fight until the end.”
Spurs are currently second in the league table and are just four points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
They have managed to set-up an exciting finish to the season and have six games remaining to overturn the deficit.
Pochettino’s side will be focused on their next league outing as they travel to Selhurst Park on Wednesday night.
Palace are one of the in-form teams in the division and have won six of their last eight matches in the league.
Sam Allardyce’s side have managed to pull clear of the relegation places and recorded an impressive 2-1 away victory against Liverpool on Sunday.
