Harry Kane gives backing to under-fire Tottenham player

Harry Kane has backed his Tottenham team-mate Dele Alli to learn from his previous mistakes after constantly finding himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
Alli, 21, returned to form on Saturday in the 4-0 hammering of Huddersfield but was the topic of discussion after the game as he was booked for a dive even though his side were three goals up at the time.
It’s not the only time the midfielder’s antics have given him a reputation for having a bad attitude, with him being caught on camera swearing at Kyle Walker in England’s last round of international fixtures as well as punching West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob in 2016.
Although he is under-fire from the media, Kane, 24, has backed Alli to improve as he gets older.
“He’ll learn. He’s still only 21. He’s a fiery person. The older he gets, the wiser he’ll get,” said Kane on Wednesday, as quoted by Times journalist Henry Winter on his personal Twitter account.

Alli hasn’t been in the best of form for Tottenham this season and some fans have even called upon Mauricio Pochettino to axe him from the first-team after a series of poor displays.
The ex-MK Dons midfielder will no doubt have his focus on the England national team for the next week as the Three Lions look to secure qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia next summer.
Alli, as well as Kane, will have the chance to showcase their talents on the biggest stage in world football should they avoid losing to both Slovenia and Lithuania in the coming days.
