Tottenham’s players make up the second most valuable squad in the entirety of Europe, according to a study.
The report, carried out by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) and made available on their Football Observatory website, uses a specially designed algorithm to judge the value of a player over several different elements.
CIES have rounded up the value of each player from club’s in the top five leagues across Europe, and the result shows that Tottenham’s stars are ranked second only to fellow Premier League side Manchester City.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been given a value of £1.03billion (€1.17billion), just below the price placed on the City squad, who top the table with a figure of £1.05billion (€1.2billion).
However, Tottenham’s Harry Kane is named as the second most valuable player in the world, with a estimated value of £163million (€186million), behind only Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar, at (€218million).

It sees the Spurs striker named as more valuable than the likes of Barcelona’s Luis Suarez, City’s Kevin De Bruyne and rival for the Premier League golden boot Romelu Lukaku, who left Everton to join Manchester United over the summer.
City and Spurs are two of four clubs named in the study as valued at over a billion Euros, with Barcelona and Chelsea joining them in breaking the 10 digit barrier.
