‘Harsh’, ‘Gutted’ - Liverpool fans on Twitter fume with Klopp selection v Arsenal
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has decided to drop midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Friday night against Arsenal – and the club’s supporters are furious on Twitter with the decision.
The Reds travel to the Emirates Stadium for a pivotal Premier League match as they look to cement their position in the top four.
There have been two changes to the side that beat Bournemouth as Sadio Mane and Emre Can replace Georgina Wijnaldum and Oxlade-Chamberlain in the starting XI.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been named on the bench on Friday and will be disappointed not to start against his former side.
Liverpool fans on social media are furious that the 24-year-old has been axed and feel he should have retained his spot.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

The ox gets man of the match against Bournemouth then gets dropped to the bench for tonight, what’s that doing for his confidence. Got to start over Henderson #lfc

Feel for ox, must be frustrating. Not sure if I fancy watching can walk around sulking, but hey we’ll still win #lfc

Very against the dropping of Oxlade Chamerlain to accommodate Can. Ox deserves his place after his last game. Would also like to see Can phased out, doesn't want to be there. #LFC

No Ox seems harsh, but he better be first sub. Deserves a standing ovation from those clowns in London. To but up with their nonsense as long as he did makes him worthy. https://t.co/z8v1gnnid1

Oxlade-Chamberlain has endured a mixed start since his move to Anfield from Arsenal in the summer for a hefty £35million.
The Englishman is a versatile midfielder that is trying to cement regular football under Jurgen Klopp and there have been encouraging signs in recent weeks.
He has made 24 appearances so far across all competitions, but has had to make do with mainly substitute appearances and looks like he will have to do the same against Arsenal.
Oxalde-Chamberlain turned in a man-of-the-match display in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend and even that wasn’t enough for him to retain his place.
In the latest Liverpool news, Dietmar Hamann has issued a worrying claim about the club’s January business.
