John Hartson is convinced that Celtic will field their strongest possible side for their Europa League last-32 first leg clash against Zenit St Petersburg at Parkhead tonight (Thursday).
Hartson took to his personal Twitter account this afternoon to call on his former team to secure a “positive result” to take into the second leg in Russia in a week’s time.
Celtic have been hit by an injury crisis in the lead-up to the encounter in Russia but the former Wales international urged the players not to worry about those as he insisted that manager Brendan Rodgers will select “what he feels is his strongest side” for such a pivotal encounter.

Midfielders Tom Rogic, Nir Bitton, Patrick Roberts, Stuart Armstrong and Jonny Hayes are sidelined through injury, as is goalkeeper Craig Gordon and former RB Leipzig defender Marvin Compper, who is both injured and ineligible for European competition.
