Hazard posts Twitter message after Tottenham victory v Burnley

By Harvey Byrne

Tottenham great Micky Hazard appeared to be delighted on Twitter after Spurs ran out 2-0 victors against Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

The north London giants ran out 2-0 victors against the Clarets at Turf Moor with goals from each of Eric Dier and Son Heung-min handing Mauricio Pochettino’s team all three points.

The win has seen Tottenham settle in second place in the Premier League table and top of the league Chelsea also fell to a defeat against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

The results have seemingly raised spirits once more in the Spurs camp and one who was keen to point out that the title race was still open was Hazard, who shared on his personal Twitter account after the game “back in the race.”

Tottenham achieved their highest finish for 26 years under manager Mauricio Pochettino last season as they ended in third place.

The club will be keen to go a step further this campaign and they will still have their eyes focused on a first title win for Spurs since 1961.

However, the Chelsea defeat marked their first since league loss since the 2-0 against Tottenham at the beginning of January and the Blues will still be confident that they have enough to get over the line.
