Tottenham goal machine Harry Kane is “pummelling” every opponent he faces this season and has never looked better.
That is according to Gabriel Agbonlahor, the former England striker speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Spurs forward’s “frightening” start to the season.
Kane did not score in Saturday’s landmark 2-0 win over Man City but delivered a magnificent all-round display as Tottenham produced evidence they can mount a genuine title challenge.
Kane gave City centre-backs Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias the runaround in a display that drew the admiration of many observers.
“Harry Kane’s looking better than ever,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider. “He’s been so good this season it’s frightening, to be honest.
“It’s not just the goals and the assists, which is amazing, but the all-round play. He is the ultimate team man as well as the ultimate finisher and provider.
“He is pummelling everyone he faces. You look at Laporte and Dias, top centre-backs, and they couldn’t cope with Harry.
“He’s so clever at drawing fouls, closing the game down. He can everything so well and his decision-making is superb.
“I do actually think that Spurs will win a trophy this year. They’ve got the team there they’ve got the squad, and they’ve got the manager who knows how to do it.”
Kane has had a sensational start to the new season for Spurs, with 16 goal involvements in the Premier League alone more than any other player.
In all competitions, the England captain has scored 13 goals and supplied 11 assists from just 15 club matches.
In other news, it can be revealed how Tottenham have made a huge saving on blockbuster new deal thanks to insider information.
