'In a heartbeat' - Celtic fans react on Twitter after John Terry revelation
By Will Butcher
Celtic fans have urged Brendan Rodgers to bring Chelsea defender John Terry to Parkhead after it was announced he would leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Chelsea confirmed on their official website that the 36-year-old would leave west London at the end of the season, with his contract set to expire on June 30.
Terry has not played a big part in Antonio Conte’s plans this season, making just 10 appearances in all competitions as the Italian manager sticks to his three-man defence of Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta.
With Kurt Zouma and Nathan Ake waiting in the wings, the veteran defender has decided to call time on his Chelsea stay. The Telegraph claim he will consider offers from China and the MLS.
Celtic fans have urged manager Rodgers to bring Terry to Celtic Park, after working with the former England captain during his time at Stamford Bridge as a coach.

With a Champions League medal among his glittering career highlights, Terry would provide experience in Europe and offer top-quality cover at the back should he be brought to Celtic.
Kolo Toure and Efe Ambrose are both about to see their contracts expire in Glasgow, and Terry would give Rodgers some much needed cover at centre-back.
