Celtic need to sign QPR attacker Bright Osayi-Samuel in January if they have any hope of winning a 10th consecutive league title.
That is according to former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the prospect of the 22-year-old signing a pre-contract agreement with the Hoops next month.
He is fast approaching the final six months of his contract at Loftus Road and will be granted permission to talk to foreign clubs regarding a pre-contract from 1 January.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday that Celtic representatives are ready to enter negotiations over a deal for the Nigerian winger ahead of the January window.
Rangers are also in the hunt for Osayi-Samuel while there is also interest from Premier League sides Leicester City, Fulham and Brighton.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the potential arrival of the winger to Parkhead, Campbell said: “He would be a great signing.
“I like him, I really like him. I think he would be a fabulous addition to Celtic and he would help them achieve what they want.
“Could they get him in January? I would like to think so. If they have any hope of trying to eat into that lead that Rangers have they need to get him in January.
“If they can then great but if not I am sure he would be a welcome addition in the summer.”
