'He's got something nobody else has got' - Kevin Phillips in 'Big' Wolves player transfer claim
Kevin Phillips has claimed Adama Traore could be on the move this summer after admitting the Wolves winger would be ‘on his radar’ was he the manager of a big side.
The former Sunderland and Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, called the 24-year-old “one of the most improved footballers of all time” following his performances this season.
The former Middlesborough forward contributed three assists during the first month of 2020, including two in his side’s 3-2 win at Southampton.
When asked if the La Masia graduate would be attracting attention across Europe, Phillips told Football Insider: “He is one of the most improved footballers of all time. From where he was this time last year, running down blind alleys, frustrating supporters and the manager, to where he is now – the penny has dropped.
“He is listening, taking stuff on board and his end product is brilliant. We saw that against Liverpool with his cross for Jimenez.

“If there was a medal for the most improved player he would have to get it at the end of the season.
“Listen, he has something that nobody else has got – raw pace. If I am a potential manager of a big side he is certainly a player that would be on my radar.”
Traore has made 72 appearances since arriving at Molineux in 2018, scoring 6 goals and contributing 13 assists.
Although the Spaniard dislocated his shoulder in a goalless draw at Old Trafford last weekend he is expected to be fit for the visit of Leicester City on Valentine’s Day.
