Dele Alli confessed that his performances for Tottenham so far this season, have been “hit and miss” in an interview with Sky Sports.
In the exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the midfielder revealed that he was enjoying his football this season, but was aware that people expect a lot from him.
“It has been a bit hit and miss at times,” said Alli, “but I’ve enjoyed it so far, and I think that’s the main thing.”
The 21-year-old has made 15 appearances across all competitions for Spurs this season, scoring seven goals and registering three assists.
“Obviously I’ve put myself in a situation where everyone expects me to score or assist every game, and as a player myself I expect it.
“I’m probably my biggest critic. But like I say, I’ve enjoyed it. It’s easy to get down with things if they’re not going your way or if you haven’t been performing.”
Alli’s form has helped Tottenham be fourth in the Premier League after 12 games with 23 points, ahead of Saturday’s game with West Bromwich Albion.
