'How on earth is it possible' - Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Rose injury update

By Harvey Byrne

Tottenham fans have aired their worries on Twitter after the club announced that Danny Rose would only start outdoor work next week.

The 26-year-old left-back has starred for Spurs this season, offering quality in both the defence and attack for the team alongside teammate Kyle Walker.

However, he last featured at the end of January in a 0-0 draw with Sunderland which saw him limp off the field after just 38 minutes and the official Tottenham Twitter account revealed on Thursday afternoon that he was progressing well, but would only start outdoor work next week.

Tottenham now have important fixtures coming up with a FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea in just nine days time, while they will also face fierce rivals Arsenal in 17 days.

A number of Spurs fans on social media have expressed their uneasiness over the unlikely event of Rose not being available to play at Wembley, while another asked how it was possible for the player to be out for this long.

Rose has played in 21 matches for Tottenham in all competitions this season, returning two goals and four assists.

Many will be hoping he makes a return to the Spurs team before the end of the season as they look to compete with Chelsea for the Premier League crown.
