Hutton lauds 'firework' Sakala after Gerrard reveal at Rangers
Alan Hutton has hailed Rangers striker Fashion Sakala for his “energy and enthusiasm” after his recent performances.
The former Gers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 24-year-old has earned the “trust” of manager Steven Gerrard with his displays.
As quoted by the Scotsman after Rangers beat Ross County 4-2 on Sunday (November 7th), Gerrard hailed Sakala for a “selfless” performance – praising his “hard work and running in behind”.
The Zambia international displaced Alfredo Morelos in the Gers starting eleven after his hattrick against Motherwell last week.
The striker has been limited to just four league starts since his summer move, scoring four goals.
Sakala joined Rangers from Belgian side KV Oostende in July on a free transfer.

Hutton hinted the 24-year-old could improve even further as he adapts to his new Ibrox teammates.
“He’s like a firework, isn’t he? You just light him and watch him go,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He’s one of these players who plays at 100 miles per hour, he takes players on, he’s aggressive, he can get shots off.
“Sometimes you just wish he could slow down, but I think that’ll come with time and experience at a new club. As he plays with these players around him with intelligence – he’ll get on that same page.
“I like his energy and enthusiasm. He loves playing for Rangers and you can see that when he’s trying hard to score goals.
“He’s really hit the ground running and shown everybody what he’s all about. Gerrard trusts him, that’s the main thing.”
Sakala scored 16 goals in 34 games across all competitions last season for Oostende.
Rangers lead the Scottish Premiership with rivals Celtic trailing by four points.
