Hutton makes 'phenomenal' Turnbull claim after what he's seen at Celtic
Alan Hutton has claimed Ange Postecoglou is finally getting the best out of David Turnbull at Celtic after Tuesday’s win over Ferencvaros.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland defender predicted the Hoops boss would continue to build his side around the 22-year-old.
Turnbull made it two goals in as many games for the Bhoys against Ferencvaros as he managed to bundle to ball home for the second in a 2-0 win.
He also scored a sublime long-range strike in the 2-0 win over his old side Motherwell on Saturday.
Turnbull has scored three and contributed one assist in his last six appearances, having failed to do either in the previous six.
Hutton admitted he was blown away by the midfielder’s sensational strike against Motherwell.

He suggested the Hoops are finally seeing the Scotland international’s true potential working under Postecoglou.
“He’s got some strike on him,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“I think it was a difficult period for all the players, not just him. A new manager coming in, a new philosophy, a new style of play. It’s going to take players time to adapt to that.
“He’s finally settling in. We know how good a player he is. I always thought Ange Postecoglou coming in would build his team around the likes of Turnbull and McGregor.
“He’s starting to feel at home, he looks a Celtic player, his chest is puffed out, he wants the ball. His strike (v Motherwell) was phenomenal. Two keepers in the goal wouldn’t have saved that.
“We’re really seeing the best of him. It was always going to take time for things to settle down.”
Turnbull has now scored eight goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.
Celtic’s next game sees them play host to St Johnstone on Saturday.
