Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has responded passionately to a fan who said he had let himself down over an Instagram post.

The fan criticised the goalkeeper on Twitter over him posting a picture from an Old Firm derby defeat on his Instagram story, which caused Foderingham to reinforce his commitment to the Gers.

The exchange all started when the fan took a screenshot of the post and sent it to the 26-year-old, telling him not to post pictures from derby defeats.

The goalkeeper did not take the tip well, sarcastically hitting back with a tip of his own stating he can post what he wants.

The fan said he shouldn’t have responded like that which prompted another Light Blues supporter to share that the fan should learn to take it if he is going to “dish it out.

The fan was adamant that he meant no harm and Foderingham had taken the post the wrong way. However the fan went on to upset the goalkeeper further despite calling him the “best player” at the club by revealing he believed the star had “let himself down.”

The goalkeeper opted to rejoin the conversation to dismiss the criticism in a polite manner, saying the fan was entitled to his opinion but that he gives “100%” for his club.

Foderingham has played for Rangers since July 2015 and has played 14 times this season across all competitions, keeping four clean sheets and conceding 15 goals.
