'I just don't see it', 'Overrated' - Celtic fans slam international midfielder reportedly wanted at Parkhead
Celtic fans have taken to social media to slam the performance of Hibernian midfielder John McGinn in the Scottish Cup tie against Hearts on Sunday.
The 23-year-old, who recently made his Scotland debut, has been the subject of speculation surrounding his future for months, with the Daily Mail recently reporting that he was a target at Parkhead and that West Ham were also interested in the player.
His performance in the Edinburgh derby doesn’t seem to have made Hoops fans excited by the prospect of his signing though.
Here are some of the best reactions from Celtic fans on Twitter to John McGinn’s performance for HIbs:
McGinn overrated. Mcgeough the main man in the middle of the park for Hibs

I honestly don't see what McGinn would bring to our squad never mind our team!
I would rather take a punt on the wee 16 year old jambo.

The jury is still out with me on John Mcginn… loads of energy but a lack of quality at times

Scotland international McGinn has scored four goals this season, including two in a 2-2 draw against Celtic in September, a game which first brought him to the attention of Brendan Rodgers.
To on the pitch matters, and the Hoops returned to action after the winter break with a 5-0 win over Brechin in the Scottish Cup, thanks to goals from Forrest, Sinclair, Ntcham, Boyata and Edouard.
The Bhoys are back in action soon though, as they return to league duty with a Glasgow derby against Partick Thistle at Firhill on Tuesday night.
The Hoops will be looking to maintain their eight point lead over Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
