Ian Wright believes that Arsenal are struggling to get the best out of midfielder Mesut Ozil.
The 28-year-old has come under criticism recently for his performances and fans feel he is playing nowhere near his best.
The Germany international has been unable to help the Gunners slip 13 points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League, while also playing in the crushing 5-1 defeat away to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Ex-Arsenal striker Wright feels that the Ozil is receiving some unwarranted stick and states it’s up to his team-mates to use the playmaker.
“It is sad to hear people now talking so disrespectfully about Ozil because he’s a great player and technically the best in Arsenal’s squad,” Wright from in his column for the Sun. “But I don’t feel he is being fully utilised and maybe the players around him aren’t helping him enough.”
