Celtic mainstay makes huge statement about his future after reported PL interest
Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney has dismissed all the speculation about his future and revealed that he is happy with life at the Hoops.
Manchester United have been linked with the player frequently in recent times, with The Sun claiming that the Premier League giants had scouts watching the 20-year-old in the Hoops’ Scottish Cup win over Rangers on Sunday.
But Tierney has dismissed all that talk, claiming that the new long-term deal he signed last season showed that he is committed to the Hoops.
“I’m enjoying my career here. I’ve just signed a six-year deal so if that doesn’t say long term I don’t know what does,” Tierney said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
Tierney has been a mainstay for the Hoops in only his third full season with the Hoops, and has made 50 appearances so far this season, and it is testament to the player’s fitness that he has kept up his excellent level of performance after playing so many games.

Hoops fans will be delighted that Tierney sees his immediate future with the Bhoys, but that doesn’t mean that a bid from the likes of Manchester United won’t be incoming in the summer. Of course, the Hoops would dismiss the bid out of hand, unless it was a ridiculous sum of money. Whilst Tierney has been superb for the Bhoys since breaking through to the first-team in 2015, he still has a lot to learn in his game. especially in Europe, and he would be better off staying with the Bhoys for another few seasons at least, and when he becomes the complete player then the Hoops might consider selling the player and making lots of money.
