In a heartbeat, Absolutely gets the job done: Leeds fans react to reported interest in PL hitman
Leeds United have reportedly entered the race for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban and fans have flocked onto Twitter to react to the news.
Alan Nixon, the Sun’s transfer expert, made the claim on his personal Twitter page on Sunday morning, adding that they are also looking to buy Matej Vydra from Derby on top.
Leeds have been linked with a move for Hull City striker Abel Hernandez, available on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.
However, Leeds fans are speculating that he must be holding the club to ransom if they’re looking at deals for both Grabban and Vydra as an alternative.
Fans are torn, with the majority seeing Hernandez as the real prize this summer, but they’d be more than happy with Grabban and Vydra as a plan B.
One fan said that he’d take the pair of them “in a heartbeat”, saying that Vydra is not effective on his own as a loan striker.

Would take Grabban and Vydra in a heartbeat, don’t think Vydra is effective enough as a lone striker. #lufc

I'd prefer Hernandez to Grabban but it will take a huge financial package to bring him here and his injury record is terrible. Grabban is a proven goalscorer in this division and probably half the price. #lufc

I would take grabban

Abel clearly holding us to ransom
When we can afford both Vydra and Grabban that tells me his demands are astronomical
Wages, signing on fee, agent fee
Almost like signing a player with a fee and not for free— Ty™️ (@NOHSPUT) June 24, 2018
Grabban, not very exciting one to sign, but absolutely gets the job done at this level! The kind of player we lacked last season.

If i had to pick between signing only Hernandez and getting both Vydra and Grabban I'd choose the latter. Seems as if Hernandez is holding out for astronomical wage demands, which I'm gutted about as I'd have loved him here

I wouldn’t mind Grabban but would much prefer Hernandez but not if he is holding the club to ransom, plenty of people saying it was a done deal last week ???? let’s just see what happens this week now the big man is here #LUFC

Will be happy with any two from these, my preference is Hernandez and Vydra but Grabban also proven goal scorer at this level

Think it’ll be both mate, people saying that’s the case. Vydra top scorer in this league last season, and Grabban a decent and less expensive option than Hernandez

As much as I want us to sign Abel Hernandez, I'd be very happy with we ended up with these two, both Vydra and Grabban proven strikers at this level, they were the championship top two goal scorers last season #lufc #mot #alaw #leedsunited https://t.co/b9F97qeitQ
