Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo has revealed that he will miss the next eight weeks of action after suffering a major injury blow while on loan with Fulham.

Ojo, 20, joined the Championship side in mid-August and has become a regular starter at Craven Cottage.

However the forward has now confirmed on his personal Twitter account that he is expected to miss a good chunk of action over the next two months which will see him miss big fixtures against promotion chasing Aston Villa and Wolves.

"Absolutely gutted to be out for 8 weeks. Another setback but I'll be back stronger 100%. Rehab has already started! Thanks for the support," he said.

Ojo was stretchered off the field in the 2-1 win at QPR at the weekend with an apparent shoulder injury which may now keep him out until the end of November.

Fulham have had a mixed start to the season and find themselves 10th in the standings.

As well as Villa and Wolves, they have fixtures with Preston and Bristol City on the horizon, all of which games that the Londoners will want to win in order to revive their hopes of getting back into the Premier League, meaning it will be a major blow for Slavisa Jokanovic to be without one of his main starters for those games.

Wide-forward Ojo has made seven appearances across all competitions for Fulham so far this term, supplying one assist in the process.

The England Under-21 international was sent to Craven Cottage with the view to him getting more first-team experience having only ever made 13 senior appearances with Liverpool.
