Celtic fans are urging the club to sign a new striker after Kyogo Furuhashi appeared to pick up a knock in the season opener v Kilmarnock.

Brendan Rodgers' side emerged as 4-0 winners at Parkhead, cruising to victory while Rangers dropped points on the season's opening weekend.

However, despite the landslide victory, concerns have emerged surrounding Kyogo's fitness after he appeared to take a knock after a collision with Robby McCrorie.

Fans took to social media to express their concern after the striker appeared to be limping after the incident but went on to play the full 90 minutes.

This has led to calls for a new striker to come in before the transfer window closes on 30 August to provide backup for the Japan international.

While the blow didn't look to be anything serious and more a culmination of some heavy challenges in the game, concerns over his fitness have continued to grow.

In the meantime, however, fans have taken to social media to express their frustration and concern about the situation - with one labelling it "a potential disaster".
