After finishing fourth in the Premier League last season, Liverpool found out who they need to beat over two legs to get in the Group Stage of the Champions League.

The draw was made on Friday morning and Liverpool drew Hoffenheim.

Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to write another chapter for Liverpool in Europe and will be hoping to swat aside the opposition before targeting the knockout stages of the competition.

He'll be hoping to go one better than the 2014/15 campaign, when Liverpool dropped into the Europa League after finishing third in their group after a 1-1 draw against FC Basel.

However, to do that they'll have to make sure they get past the potential banana skin of the play-offs first.

Hoffenheim aren't a pushover and Liverpool fans will be concerned ahead of the two matches.

They finished fourth in the Bundlesiga last season, behind champions Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Hoffenheim were just two points off a third-place Bundesliga finish.

However, it's fair to say that Liverpool will have to face tougher teams if they really want to progress in the competition and it will give the Reds a decent test of their new-look squad.

And, as fans pointed out, Hoffenheim should be more worried of Liverpool, than Liverpool of Hoffenheim.

Here are a selection of reactions from Liverpool fans on Twitter:
