Josh Windass is in discussions over a shock £3million move to newly-promoted Cardiff City, according to an Insider.
The Four Lads Had a Dream blog, which regularly breaks Rangers news before the mainstream press, reported the news on its Twitter site on Thursday night.
They also added that Burnley were also interested in the 24-year-old attacker.

Football Insider verdict:
Rangers fans have a love hate relationship with Windass, and it seems to verge more on the hate side of the spectrum, especially after some of his antics. Fans might well think that £3million is a fair price for a player that promises much in fits and bursts, but never seems to deliver consistently for Rangers, but this report has come completely out of the blue. Windass has contributed 17 goals and eight assists in 40 games across all competitions this season and that’s not inconsiderable, and other fans might have been looking forward to seeing what Steven Gerrard can get out of the 24-year-old when he takes over as manager. However, if the Premier League comes calling we’d imagine that Windass would jump at the chance to prove himself at the very highest level. And £3million would represent a snip given the prices that are being bandied about for other British players. Perhaps a bidding war might break out which would give Rangers even more cash to spend this summer.
