Insider hails 'brilliant' Hayton after Tottenham first-team call-up
Tottenham youth keeper Adam Hayton is showing “brilliant” signs after being given unexpected game time and being called up to first-team training.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
As per Wenham (30 November), Hayton has been training with the Tottenham first-team recently.
The stopper has made 5 appearances in the Under 18 Premier League this season.
Wenham has closely followed Hatyon’s development and admitted he has been impressed by what he’s seen in person.
“Hayton is a really interesting player,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He’s someone who wasn’t really on my radar when he was in the younger age groups.
“It always seemed he was backup keeper rather than the number one.
“Due to an injury to the regular Under 18s keeper, Hayton has been given some unexpected game time.
“He did really well in the games in the games I watched, he commended his box very well.
“He was very vocal as well and that’s brilliant to see from a young goalkeeper.
“That form was rewarded with a callup to train with the first team and it was more than deserved.
“I’m really pleased for him and hope he continues to impress.”
Tottenham lie ninth in the southern section of the Under 18 Premier League.
They lost their last match 3-0 against Leicester City’s Under 18s.
