Insider: Nottingham Forest could sign Tottenham youngster in January after Reid talks
Tottenham youngster Jamie Bowden could seal a move to Nottingham Forest in the January window.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Bowden, 20, will spend the season on loan with Oldham and has made 15 appearances in all competitions so far during the current campaign.
The midfielder scored a brilliant long-range effort as his side lost 2-1 to Exeter City last Saturday.
Wenham wants to see Bowden continue to impress at Oldham before coming back to Hotspur Way to sign a contract extension.
He then claims Bowden could link up with Forest coach Andy Reid after speaking to the former Spurs winger in person.

“I would like to see him go out on loan against next year,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think he has a contract until 2023 so I expect we would offer him a new deal before he went anywhere.
“A Championship move could be really beneficial for him. He’s a really good player.
“I know from speaking to Andy Reid, who is currently a coach at Nottingham Forest, that he is very aware of him.
“He also had a role with the Ireland youth setup when Jamie has been involved in Under 18s games.
“With Reid being at Forest, could we see Bowden move on loan to Forest next year or maybe the year after?
“Maybe, I certainly wouldn’t rule it out if he continues to impress.”
Forest are currently 13th in the Championship.
Oldham are currently being kept off the bottom of the football league by Scunthorpe.
